Thursday saw a representative from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) visit our school to inspire our Year 13s to consider tertiary study at their institute. Thanks to Mrs Rogers, who organised this session, a group of Year 13 students were introduced to the subjects, scholarships, accommodation and other activities available at AUT.
Students who attended thought “it was a very good talk. [The AUT representative] was very thorough and it has me interested in going there. The way the talker spoke about everything made me want to go there next year for my studies!”
AUT has certainly made an impression on our students with the wide range of degrees and majors they have, as well as the many scholarships they have to offer. The Year 13s found the student interaction pretty cool, with how there’s many clubs, sports events and competitions that run throughout the year.
AUT certainly gives its students a lot of fun as well as a positive educational experience. Our students also commented on the availability of conjoint degrees, allowing them to pursue more than one passion. AUT seems like an excellent tertiary choice and would definitely be a cool place to study.
