J Rock, a junior competition parallel to that of Stage Challenge, is an opportunity for young, aspiring artists in the field of dance and drama to further expand their artistic horizons and gain exposure to its competitive side.

On their final day in Paris, after spending the night packing up their things, the group headed out early to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. After two previous attempts to get into Norte Dame had failed due to the long queues of tourists, our group finally managed to tour around the interior of the Cathedral early Tuesday morning.

The group geared up for even more walking as this was to be the most tourist attraction packed day yet.

The College prefects gathered in formal school uniform on Stockade Hill to recognize ANZAC Day.

After a brisk train ride from the south of France to its capital, the group arrived in time for an afternoon bike ride around the city on Friday. This tested the skills and fitness of those in the group who hadn’t been on a bike since childhood days and those who learnt to do so especially for this trip (for some a tandem was required).

The Zonta debate is an annual debate held between Sancta Maria College and Botany College, and hosted by Zonta International. The debate is always on a women’s issue, and Sancta Maria College had not won in the last eight years.

After the group’s excursions they began their classes at Accent français on Tuesday. The group was split up based on their knowledge of French and they began a routine over the next few days.

After a gruelling 27 hours of flying with a 5 hour stopover in Singapore. The French study tour has finally made the journey down to the south of France following a 4 hour trip on the tgv (french bullet train).

The inaugural Growing Basketball Coaches Programme took place at Unitec Institute of Technology with tremendous attendance by students from a number of Auckland’s top basketball schools.

There was treacherous weather conditions but that wasn’t going to stop the Girls Rugby 7s team from going hard, at the annual Auckland Secondary Schools 7s competition which was held at the Waitemata Rugby Club.
