After an education-filled day in learning about the past of our religion and how it transformed Auckland, the Year 9s had an education-filled day in learning about the past of our home, Aotearoa (New Zealand). The day combined education from three subjects, Social Studies (Cultures Meet), Science (Ecology), and R.E. (Caring for God’s creation).

World of Maths

On Wednesday, the Year 8s experienced World of Maths in the gym. World of Maths is a hands-on maths roadshow. It was a great opportunity for the students to see how maths can be applied in real life situations using problem solving techniques. It made us look at maths from a different perspective.

Orchestral players join with the APO

Twenty four of our classical players took part in the Play In South session with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau. Our players – ranging from Years 7 to 13 and filling roles in all four sections of the orchestra (strings, percussion, woodwind and brass) – linked with the APO’s players and students from Pukekohe High School and Takapuna Intermediate to form an orchestra of well over 100 players.
