The Enviro Team have been consistently maintaining our beautiful school gardens throughout the year. Small actions such as weeding and harvesting the soil from the worm farms to put into the gardens have all been contributing to a better natural environment around the College.
Our premier boys’ basketball team lost their unbeaten record yesterday evening in their 1st v 2nd clash against Aorere College, going down 49-37.

It has been a while since SMC has had a jazz event but we’re back and ready to bring more music to people! We will be bringing a few of our Jazz Musicians to play at Botany Night Market on Wednesday June 19. All money raised from this will go towards the 40-hour Famine.

Five of Sancta Maria College’s most promising digital technology students were invited to attend Shadowtech; a prestigious event focussing on nurturing the upcoming generation of female digital technology graduates. Saturday marked the sixth game of the season at Howick Pakuranga Netball Club with our College teams achieving some great results! All teams gave their best effort displaying some amazing netball skills. A highlight of the week is the results from Sancta Maria’s premier team game against Willobank S1 on Thursday. The premier team showed great team-work winning 47-25 and played exceptionally well!

Year 8, Liam Clifford was upstairs in his room like any kid, just on his phone. His mum, a rugby fanatic and a big inspiration to him, had called him downstairs. The Walter Dickson U13 East Rugby Team had been named. Liam was so excited, he raced downstairs, slipped on the tiles, jumped back up and saw his name on the list.

Congratulations to Anna Faulkner, a Year 13 Business Studies student, on being selected to take part in the Young Enterprise Scheme – Entrepreneurs in Action Business Experience for 2019. Annually this organization chooses 80 Young Enterprise Scheme students from many applicants as it is open to students from all regions.
