At the end of this week’s lunch time Mass some of our students and teachers who are heading off to Japan next Wednesday received a special blessing from Fr Craig. The Y13 travelers were absent as they were on their Retreat Day where they would have received many personal blessings of their own.
The group of 21 students and 3 teachers will be away for 15 days. They will be spending time in Hiroshima City where they will visit the Peace Park to present the 1000 paper cranes and prayers for World Peace the College has made. Their journey will also take them to Kyoto, Tokyo and Yokohama. In Yokohama they will home stay with Japanese families and explore the Japanese way of life, involving themselves in family and school life and leisure activities.
