Members of the Eastern Districts Country Music Club came to Sancta Maria College to give a lunch time concert and promote the Young Star Awards competition, which our school will be entering.
In June 2016, Sancta Maria College raised the awareness of World Ocean day by urging everyone in the school to take action to prevent plastic pollution in our oceans. The tuck shop supported this cause by selling pies in paper bags instead of plastic bags.

From March 27 – 31 Te Tuhi Art Gallery are hosting the Top Art Folio Exhibition and the local level 1 and 2 folio exhibition. Both exhibitions are on display for one week only and they showcase exceptional art portfolios from across all levels.
Last school holidays, 27 schools from across Auckland put forward two students to join together and attend MAD Marine 2017. The start of this Make A Difference youth environmental leadership camp, sponsored by Auckland Council, saw the 50 students ferry from ‘the Cloud’ to Islington Bay (Rangitoto Island). From there they walked over to Motutapu Island and continued to the MOEC camp.
As a school community, we witnessed the beginning of the Lenten season by celebrating Ash Wednesday in the courtyard. And it was certainly a thought provoking and uplifting experience.
