Last Saturday night was a big one for pop bands at Sancta Maria College. Three of our Year 7 & 8 bands represented us at the Manukau heats of Bandquest, which is the pop band competition for New Zealand schools at intermediate level.

Friday night was a first for Sancta Maria College as our vocal group Helta Scelta performed at the Vodafone Events Centre in the final of Stand Up Stand Out. Helen Pahulu, Lauren Chalk, Adora Rodrigues, Catherine Vaiangina and Anton Vargas performed their moving rendition of ‘Oceans’ as one of only four finalists in the group vocal category.

Year 7 to 10 students will finish school at 1.15 pm. However, the scheduled Senior Examinations that are on this day will proceed as arranged for Years 11 to 13 students.
