The winners of our Library Week murder mystery “The Curious Case of the Clockwork Cleaner” were announced and the guilty party identified. We had over 20 teams sign up to solve the mystery, and many of them assembled in the library to find out if they had solved the case and caught the killer.

Kudos to the Sancta netball teams. What a brilliant result from all teams with no losses this weekend. What a coincidence that all the three Year 8 teams scored a whopping 26 goals each! 7C and 7D played each other and it resulted in a tie. Well done teams!

On Saturday our 1st XV came up against our neighbours, Tangaroa College, in good conditions at Sancta Maria. With only 17 available players for the game the depth of the squad was always going to be tested against a physical team from Tangaroa.

Yesterday, Maori TV came visited the College to film three of our bands that played at Stand Up Stand Out.

Over the past couple of weeks, the Young Vinnies have been cooking up a storm as a part of their outreach programme.

A group of our Business Studies students have thought seriously about an age-old problem. How to recycle that old washing machine once it is past its use by date. Braydon Burton (Communications Director), Finn Taylor (CEO), Logan Butterworth (Production Director), James Sutherland (Chief Financial Officer) and Ethan Fox (Marketing Director) of Eco-Use think they might have come up with the answer to part of the problem.

It is the time of year that Sancta Maria College comes together as a faith and school community to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption.

The Howick Youth Council is a group of 27 serving over 20,000 young people under 25 in our ward area. To know what to advocate for on your behalf, and to more accurately reflect our diverse community, we need to hear from you.

Jack Farrell, Aimee Edwards, Oliver Tamayo, Angelo Matanguihan and Lorenzo Cruz were able to have an opportunity to find out about careers in aviation. We began our journey on July 31 and this throughout the term.

Students were able to learn new phrases and celebrate the colourful and rich lives of our Pacific neighbours. The sharing of food prepared by Year 13 and Year 12 Hospitality students brought staff and students together.
