During the last week of the holidays, three Sancta Maria Jazz Combos: The Keas, The Fantails and The Kererus took the stage at the Wednesday Night Market. Sixteen Sancta Maria College students were fortunate enough this event and which provided the inspiration to create interesting activities throughout the week at school. As the last in-school fundraiser for 40 Hour Famine, the Year 12 and 13 student leaders from the committee planned a Movie Night. The auditorium was made comfortable as it was transformed into a cinema for the night. Sizzling sausages and buttery popcorn were sold fresh, and snacks and drinks were available throughout the movie.

On the first weekend of the Term 2 holidays, a group of students from Sancta Maria College competed in the New Zealand Karate Cup tournament at the Auckland Netball Centre in St Johns.
