Easter Liturgy

Today the whole school gathered to celebrate our Easter liturgy.

The event began with a beautiful performance of ‘Come to the Altar’ by the College Gospel choir as students entered the auditorium.

The liturgy then began with a first scripture reading by our head girl, Martina Kleis. This was followed by readings of the 14 Stations of the Cross by a combination of teachers and Year 13 students. Following each station, 2 student representatives from each year level hammered a nail into a cross, symbolising the crucifixion of Jesus.

The liturgy was a solemn, but symbolic event, and impressed on all present the sacrifice Jesus made for us all when he died on the cross.

The school is now on Easter break and will return on Wednesday, April 4 to celebrate the Resurrection.
