The 1st XI Girls Football team have been training hard this year, with weekly sessions on a Monday and scheduled games on Wednesdays. All their hard work has paid off, as they advanced into the playoffs for the top four in our 2023 league season. Special mention to the four Year 13s who had a big influence on the team this year: Teresa Croker, Keira Heffernan, Kayleigh Pieters and Ella Dickens.
The team has steadily development their skills and friendships during the season, as well as their place in the league. They played many schools in the area, such as Botany, Aorere, and Ormiston, all of which were incredibly fun games. These games were intense and showcased the endurance of all team players, especially without a dedicated goalkeeper.
Special thanks to Mr. Schollum and Mr. Krause for all that they’ve done for the team. And congratulations girls for all your training sessions – it’s a great result coming third overall.
