Last term, Hayley an ambassador for the ‘I Am Hope’ foundation, came to Sancta Maria College to inform the Year 7s to 10s about the importance of mental health.
Hayley shared with the students her experiences with mental health and how important the support of family and friends were during this time. She explained how it is normal to have mental health problems and how we shouldn’t be ashamed of it.
Hayley also answered multiple questions regarding mental health. As the students left we were gifted wristbands and pamphlets by the ‘I Am Hope’ foundation.
We are all incredibly grateful for having Hayley talk to us and it was a very good way to raise awareness about mental health.
