On Saturday, the Midnight Quartet and Big Band performed at the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club Competition. We came back with a total of 7 awards: The Big Band, Octatonics and Midnight Quartet achieved gold awards, the Junior Jazz Orchestra and Septapollos achieved silver awards and the Melomaniacs and Beginners Jazz Combo achieved bronze awards!
It was the first time our school’s musical co-curricular groups brought gold awards home, and it wasn’t just one gold – we have THREE! Congratulations to all these students and especially Mr Cho, the man behind all jazz co-curricular activities at our school!
