Super sprinter Marielle Venida has impressed again with her results from the New Zealand Track and Field Championships.
Competing last week, Marielle ran an outstanding 11.92s in the Women Under-20 100m and 24.51s in the 200m, walking away with two individual golds.
Commenting on her performance, Marielle said, “Overall, the competition itself was very exciting and interesting. It was definitely a good experience especially being able to compete against people older than me. I was very proud of my performances overall mainly because I was able to gain new personal bests for both events.”
She was also part of the winning Women Under-18 4x100m relay team with a total time of 46.77s.
Collecting three gold medals at the NZTF Championships is an excellent achievement for Marielle, and we look forward to supporting this extremely talented athlete through her future successes.
