Mufti day is a day when all students are able to come to school in casual wear instead of their usual school uniform. For this privilege each student is asked to donate a gold coin to a good cause.
The money that has been raised by this mufti day will go toward helping to bring disabled children from Iran to St Addai church in north Auckland. Over here these young people will be educated and helped with their disabilities so that they can have a better future and be integrated into society.
The proceeds from the very successful bake sale are to be shared between the St John ambulance service, which is so vital to the wider community, and our College Environment Team, who are raising funds for a new filtered water station for the school.
