The auditorium was buzzing as students from Auckland South, North, East and West set up their stalls full of enticing goods and tempting treats. Around 100 different products were available to the discerning shopper at the Sancta Maria College Night Market.
You could easily have filled your shopping bag with presents for those upcoming birthdays and fast approaching Christmas as well as a few goodies for yourself. You had the choice of bath salts, wooden chopping boards, health drinks, jewellery, designer mugs, face masks for the beauty conscious, scented candles, jams and much, much more, all designed and made by the young entrepreneurs. And when you got peckish there was ice cream from a stall named ‘Fruity Fusion’, vitamin filled gummy bears, cupcakes, pies and more. There was even a group offering a tutoring service for those students in need of a boost before their end of year exams.
It was a great experience for all these students seeing their ideas go from design concept to shop floor. A round of applause to the budding business brains of 2018.
