Three of our students recently took a Level 1 Chamber Music exam with the New Zealand Music Examinations Board.
Year 8 students Ceron Zheng and Damon Eu (violin), Year 10 student Ryan Massey, (clarinet), assisted by pianist Tomaz Zheng, performed Gershwin’s Summertime, a medley of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and ABBA’s Money, Money, Money.
Their examiner was impressed and has awarded the ensemble an A+ grade for their performances. To boot, all three boys have earned 5 NCEA Level 1 credits (Excellence grades for Ceron and Ryan, with Damon earning a Merit).
