On a bright sunny day, our prefects were able to see the bright smiling faces of the primary students of Holy Trinity Primary school. As a form of our school giving back to our community, our students headed off to Takanini in order to help out at the new school.
‘Students gardened, laminated pages, pumped sports balls and even taught art to the children. However, although the school was new, our students’ connections ran older and stronger.
Many of our prefects were former students of Holy Trinity principal, Ms Lindstrom at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Howick and even our school’s very own principal, Ms Moore, had ties with Ms Lindstrom during her earlier days as a teacher.
Many of the founding teachers of the new school are also connected to students of our school. The day consisted of laughter, lots of food and lots of work. Yet, most importantly, the day consisted of happiness and bright smiles that surely made the day as great as it was.
