Last Friday we took our Y7/8 Girls and boys touch rugby teams to Pakuranga Rugby Club for the South Eastern Zone competition. The teams had been training hard and we’re optimistic for some good performances. Our girls’ and boys’ teams both overachieved and reached our highest positions for the tournaments with two second places, just missing out on qualifying for Auckland interzone champs.
The day was filled with lots of fun, sportsmanship and commitment. Thanks to all parents who came down and supported the teams and looked after out tent set up. Also a big shout out to Yalaina Tubu who came and coached the girls and shared her knowledge and expertise with them.
