They say that it is good to both start and end with a song and five singers from Sancta Maria College have done just that.
Three of our singers signed off 2020’s musical activities by giving a performance at Our Lady Star of the Sea’s open evening. Senior Choir members Hannah Dangatan, Harini Pushpakumar and Camilla Isip showed our feeder school’s staff, students and parents what our singers can do and hopefully encouraged some of 2021’s incoming students to join our choirs.
2021 has started with two other members of the Senior Choir receiving their marks from the grade 3 Performance Singing exams that they took with the New Zealand Music Examinations Board during the holidays. Novyna Tolentino and Alanna Santoso earned themselves B+ Credit Plus and B Credit grades, respectively – congratulations, girls!
Further to that, Camilla is also a cellist in our Symphonia and during the holidays earned herself a Merit in her grade 4 cello exam with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
Well done to all five of our singers, who are continually raising the bar for musical standards in our school.
