Grading day brought mixed fortunes for the College’s Premier team. In the morning games at Morrin Road the girls gave their best efforts in all their games, losing only to Pakuranga College’s Premier team by 7 goals. Despite that loss, the girls were able to pull through with three well-earned wins.
After an already physically demanding morning, the girls had to muster up all the energy that they had left heading into their fifth game of the day. The afternoon brought a tough battle against Pohutukawa Coast.
With an injury to Hannah Ralph Smith minutes into the second quarter and a shuffle of positions, the team struggled to adjust to these changes. Fighting until the very end, the Sancta Maria College Premier netball squad lost by the small margin of 3 goals.
With 3 wins out of 5 we hope to see more promising results from these girls.
