Special Character Week 2024

Ethan Karl and Abigail Martis

Special Character week for 2024 is set to be another exceptional week of celebrations.

Monday, we have chalk art in the C Block Courtyard, accompanied by song requests. This together with the Kaitiakitanga prefects, is a reminder of the creation that God has called us to love and care for, just like he loved and cared for us.

Tuesday, we have our Shave for a Cure event in the auditorium, where we have a lovely number of you coming out to stand in solidarity with those who are fighting or who have lost their fight to cancer. To fundraise, it will be a gold coin per entry to come watch, as well as 5$ to come and cut/shave your friend’s hair.

Wednesday, instead of something during lunchtime, our lovely Vinnies Leaders have put together a quiz for all of you to complete during Navigation time.

Thursday, we have time for all of us to come into the auditorium and decorate a cross, we’ll have markers and colouring pencils ready for you, so you just have to bring your God-given gift of wisdom, artistic ability, and your friends.

Friday see’s the whole school heading into St Patrick’s Cathedral in the city, for our Feast Day Mass. This will be a great time to connect further in faith, as Bishop Stephen Lowe will be presiding over mass for our 20-year celebration.
