Over the break Stepan Kadlcik (Year 9) competed at Advanced Novice level at the NZ Ice Figure Skating Championships in Gore. Despite injuring his knee only a few days before the championship, he put all his effort into this competition. Stepan performed two solid programmes and achieved his personal best score, placing second.
Stepan qualified for the NZIFSA Development Squad for the 2019 Australian Figure Skating Championships in Melbourne (to be held November 30 to December 6) and for the NZ International Representative Team.
