Sancta Maria College’s premier netball team played very well on day 3 and day 4 of the UNISS tournament, recording two wins, a draw and a loss.
Wednesday saw the girls playing Waihi in the morning, winning 27-18. The team showed excellent attacking and defending with a focus on safe passes and controlling the ball. The team drew their afternoon game 15-15 with Taupo. This was a very close game from start to finish, with the ball going back and forth between the teams.
Thursday the girls were up against Botany in the morning. The game was a very close one. However, Botany ended up winning 26-21.
In the afternoon, the team played Orewa. The girls played a very different game style compared to the morning game, resulting in the team gaining the win 31-18.
