Students reduce waste which helps our native bush and wildlife

Five Year 12 students—Maria Sanchez, Em-J Abuyan, Raliemon Lopez, Cayden Pascua, and Joshua De Guzman headed into the native bush between our school and Te-Irirangi Drive, armed with gloves and rubbish bags toward the end of term 3.  After two hours of hard work, with so much trash still left behind, that they had to call it a day due to poor light and running out of bags to put the waste in. On the bright side, they did find a rat caught in one of the traps they had set the previous week.  The rubbish collected was scattered amongst all the native bush that stretches down to a peaceful creek.

Thank you to Maria, Em-J, Raliemon, Caydon and Joshua, you have made a positive impact on our native bush and wildlife.
