For two days in the July holidays, 46 Year 11 Sancta Maria College students attended a Level 2 Digital Literacy course at Techtorium in Newmarket organised by our Careers Department.
The first day was spent with tutors Sam and Danielle learning about computer components and expanding knowledge of which ones would be best to select when building a PC.
Students were split into groups and had to research a specification for a gaming computer. Following the students’ presentations, Sam gave back feedback and selected which one he though was the best.
Day 2 was spent revising knowledge in a Kahoot quiz and an open book test to gain five Level 2 credits.
Congratulations to Daniel Do who was presented with a hoodie for winning the Kahoot quiz on Ergonomics!
Thank you to Mrs Al-Rubaie for accompanying the students and to Mrs King for all her hard work in organising the course which was a fantastic success.
