Jazz Night is only a week away, and one eager trumpet player can’t wait to play for you at the event. However, tickets are selling fast and you might miss out if you don’t get in quick. Demand is usually at its highest in the two or three days before the event but this year two thirds of tickets have already been sold.
Samantha Bottom is actively engaged in the school’s musical activities, particularly with her main instrument: the trumpet! “I’ve played the trumpet for four years. I started playing jazz when I was Year 10 and I enjoy playing this genre because there is so much variety within it and it creates such a positive energy”.
Samantha would like to study music in the future, specifically jazz at university as a conjoint with another subject. She would also like to join more bands in the future!
Come along on September 20 to watch Samantha play in the Melomaniacs and the Big Band! Doors open 6.30pm, concert begins 7pm.
