The University of Otago Junior Maths Competition for Year 9-11 students has been running for the last 38 years. This year there were 4800 participants from 117 schools around New Zealand.
Remarkably, Aaron Santoso achieved the rare feat of an Outstanding award by finishing in the Top 30 students in Year 10 in New Zealand.
Maia Tay-Morrison and Ean Siao both achieved a Distinction award by finishing in the top 15% of the country (please see a picture of Aaron, Maia and Ean above).
A number of other students achieved a Merit award for finishing in the top 50% as well. Well done to the students involved.
