Last Thursday, Year 11 Art students attended the Pah Homestead to visit the Exhibitions organised by the Wallace Arts Trust. Some of the exhibitions we were very interested in were the Toot Floor by Campbell Patterson, Digital Bodies created by AUT students and more specifically Andrea du Chatenier’s sculpture exhibition. When looking through the different artworks we were shown many different aspects of art.
There were some very interesting pieces of art shown, especially through sculpture. The Toot Floor was very different as it included Snicker wrappers all over the floor along with peanuts scattered across the floor. Andrea’s sculptures conveyed the message of how our generations are consuming a lot of garbage and how society is changing a lot through many ways. Thank you to Miss Simmons and Miss Lee for bringing the two Year 11 classes to this exhibition.
