Wonderful interpretations of marine biodiversity

Year 8 students had a visit from Blake NZ-VR earlier in the year and learnt about marine conservation, especially overfishing leading to kina barren, effecting the biodiversity and health of our watery planet.  Students listened to a story and then drew what they heard on how (and why) just north of Auckland the very first marine reserve in the world was established, ‘Goat Island’.

Here is the interpretation from 8CLE: Ariel Chua’s Kina Barren, Danadi Arachchilage’s Kina Barren and George Chen’s Kina Barren
