Our Year 9 students recently had the chance to step away from their everyday school life and participate in a truly inspiring and transformative retreat, hosted by the incredible NET team. Their retreat was designed to offer students an opportunity to dive deeper into their Catholic faith, reflect on their personal spirituality, and build meaningful connections with their classmates. It was a day filled with faith exploration, fun activities, and powerful moments of reflection.
The retreat began with engaging discussions, where students had the chance to talk about their faith in small groups and reflect on what it means to live out Catholic values in their daily lives. These discussions were thought-provoking and opened the door for meaningful conversations about personal growth, kindness, and how to stay grounded in their faith.
As the day unfolded, students also had the chance to participate in some lively and interactive games, including the classic game Horses, Chevaliers, and Knights. This activity not only encouraged physical activity and teamwork but also helped students develop stronger relationships and trust in one another. The friendly competition added a sense of excitement to the day while reinforcing the importance of collaboration and unity within the school community.
One of the most powerful moments came at the end of the retreat when students gathered for a quiet and reflective session. This time allowed them to slow down, spend a few moments in prayer, and reflect on the key messages of the day. It was an opportunity to pause and connect with God, asking for guidance and strength as they continue to navigate their faith journeys.
We are incredibly grateful to the NET team for leading such an inspiring and thoughtful retreat. Their leadership and dedication to fostering faith and community were evident throughout the day. A huge thank you also goes out to our student leaders and teachers, whose support and encouragement helped make this retreat such a memorable and meaningful experience for our Year 9 students.
